Dr. Romain Kooger

Dr. Romain Kooger brings over a decade of experience in venture capital and life sciences. He joined the Private Equity Team at HBM Partners in 2019, where he focuses on evaluating and supporting innovative healthcare companies. Prior to this, he conducted research in structural and bacterial cell biology at ETH Zurich, earning a Ph.D. and completing a postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Kooger also holds a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Geneva, complemented by research internships at Leiden University and Nanjing University. A CFA charterholder, he serves as a board observer at 1000Farmacie and Xinermed.
